When Eadlyn became the
first princess of IllĂ©a to hold her own Selection, she didn’t think she
would fall in love with any of her thirty-five suitors. She spent the
first few weeks of the competition counting down the days until she
could send them all home. But as events at the palace force Eadlyn even
further into the spotlight, she realizes that she might not be content
remaining alone.
Eadlyn still isn’t sure she’ll find the
fairytale ending her parents did twenty years ago. But sometimes the
heart has a way of surprising you…and soon Eadlyn must make a choice
that feels more impossible—and more important—than she ever imagined.
After reading The Heir and enjoying it as well as the books about Eadlyn's parents, I was very much looking forward to the conclusion of this series. While the voice and pace of this book are the same, I didn't enjoy it as much. Things get serious, as well as I feel like more could have been done to convince me of the love between her and the guy she ends up with. Her actions confused me as she was willing to fight for some things but not others.
If you have enjoyed this series so far than I would totally say finish it. It isn't bad, but it didn't blow me out of the park. It is still a quick, fun and enjoyable read.

Zoey, High Priestess in
training, has managed to settle in at the House of Night and come to
terms with the vast powers the Vampyre Goddess Nyx has given her. Just
as she finally feels she belongs, the unthinkable happens: human
teenagers are being killed, and all evidence points to the House of
Night. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey’s old life, she begins
to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also
threaten those she loves.
I read book one of this series, Marked, a few months ago. I enjoyed it so much I was eager to jump on the next book. For the most part this book was just as enjoyable as the first one. I was able to predict the betrayed part, but was left surprised and in tears about other things as well. Zoey's boy drama is still going on and in all honesty, is quite entertaining.
The pace of this story keeps up with the first book and is a quick read. The writing style is the same as well which I enjoy. Overall another great book! Can't wait to read the next one!!
